In the initial phase of my design process, I delved into the opera's storyline to gain a comprehensive understanding. After numerous sketching sessions, the concept emerged to depict skeletons subtly emerging from behind a door, symbolizing the main character's concealed secrets or having "skeletons in the closet." My objective was to create a poster that was both simple and impactful, effectively conveying the chosen metaphor. I integrated nuanced details, such as a hand-drawn bone font and a blood splatter in the bottom corner, to signify the presence of death within the opera.
